The stonecrop family has small fleshy or juicy (succulent) plants.  The flowers have 4-5 sepals, 4-5 petals, and 8-10 stamens.  The many leaves are undivided and thick, fleshy and juicy   They have no stalk and grow from the stem.  The stonecrops inhabit drier areas.
