The honeysuckle family are usually shrubs.  The flowers are tubular or have petals that flatten out at right angles from the tube (salverform).  Each has 5 sepals, 4-5 petal lobes that unite, 4-5 stamens that are alternate to the lobes, and 1 ovary.  Leaves are arranged opposite to each other and are toothed.
