Also known as the bell-flower family.   Bluebells usually have a milky juice and bell-shaped flowers.  Petals are united at the base.  They typically have alternate leaves, unbranched and undivided.  The flowers have 5 united sepals, 5 united petals, 5 stamens and 1 ovary.
