Welcome to the official site of the Circle District Historical Society located in the town of Central, Alaska.  At this time we are displaying our Alaskan wildflower display, Project Poppy - Wildflowers of the Circle District, several of our photo collections from the museum archives, and some historical Alaskan maps from our map collection. Historical society president, Alfred Cook has also prepared a guide to the Pinnell Mountrin Trail which may be viewed at www.bottomdollar.us   This site displays the flower project properly at resolutions of 1024 x 768 and finer.  You may need to adjust the window of your browser to fit your screen.  At resolutions of 800 x 600 and 800 x 640 you may need to turn off some of the bars at the top of your browser.  At a resolution of 800 x 600 the CDHS logo will be cut off and your will have to use the scroll bar to view lower right-hand frame. The Family Index is reproduced at the bottom of this page for those wanting to jump from here to any of the botanical families. The archival photo collections will need to be scrolled except at a resolutions of 1280 x 1024 or higher.
